Franz Ferdinand

A note to owners of fine art museums, don’t let Franz Ferdinand in! In the video for “Do You Want To?”; Franz Ferdinand exhibit their total disregard for all things modern art in a fun, new clip reminiscent of old school beastie boys videos. The guys in this 4 piece dance rock outfit are having a good time riding the wave of their recent success and it shines through in the video.

Musically this is pure dance pop, based on a bouncy bass riff - the song is hook after hook. We start off with shots of the band lying in bed wearing matching outfits. They quickly exit the bed and soon end up in an art museum, where they swing from hanging displays and take a mock piss in a toilet display. These guys are pure chaos in the museum, pushing and shoving through the crowd, doing whatever they please. In the second half of the video their instruments magically appear in front of the band as they launch into a performance of the song. “Do You Want To?” is a fun new clip from the always fashionable Scots, that shows a band really enjoying what they are doing. -Andrew Goulburn

Video: "A Million Ways "

Director: OK Go

OK Go

There's not much to be said about this video other than you need to see it.
"A Million Ways", the first single off of Ok Go's sophomore album Oh No, is standard Ok Go; rocking guitars and catchy melodies. The video is something different altogether.

The video is only one shot, but it's one hell of a shot. The video opens and we see the members of Ok Go standing in a garden, however they quickly break into sychcronized dancing, they even throw in a little Matrix style fighting to boot. This is a hilarious clip not to be missed.-Andrew Goulburn

NOTE: This might be just a rumour, but it has been reported that director Olivier Gondry (The Vines, Hot Hot Heat) is at work on a video with OK Go. We will keep you posted.

Artist: Weezer

Video: “We Are All On Drugs “

Director: Justin Francis

Weezer

Rivers Cuomo is having a really bad day, it seems that everyone is on drugs in the new video from Weezer. Well, the song is called "We Are All On Drugs", and it has all the pieces of a great Weezer song; hard rocking distorted guitars and melodies sure to get stuck in your head.

Maybe Rivers got up on the wrong side of the bed, but on a day where it looks like all he wanted to do was get a haircut, anything that could go wrong, goes wrong for the Weezer frontman. When he is getting the haricut the barber buzzes the back of his head, so Rivers quickly runs out of the barber shop. He gets in his car and is rear ended by a uncautious driver. So he ends up in an ambulance which gets in an accident also. Then the house next door is on fire but the fireman, obviously on drugs, is emptying his hose on Rivers house. The whole video seems to take place in an alternate, bizaaro world where the title of the song is completely true..-Andrew Goulburn

Artist: Coheed & Cambria

Video: “Welcome Home “

Director: Artificial Army

Coheed & Cambria

Coheed & Cambria's new video, "Welcome Home", is the high octane first single off of the highly anticipated album, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV.As the opening credits appear one can hear an acoustic riff being played and a blood red graphic appears. From there on out it is pure power.

The first 30 seconds we see the band rocking out inside of a dark cloud, surround by picture frames, suspended in mid air. An orchestra backs the band, creating a symphony of terror. Claudio Sanchez is jamming on a two neck guitar as his unique voice rips through the speakers. The riffs are reminiscent of Jimmy Page and the footage of the guys is incredible. As the song moves onward, the camera begins to focus on the story being portrayed inside the picture frames. It is a very dark story of a girl and what looks to be an undead man. Surely it fits into Coheed's ongoing comic book saga.Claudio and Travis begin to duel with there guitars, as the camera shows them playing these difficult solo's. This video has all the components of a short film. I suggest you check it out. - Charlie Collick
